Popcorn is one of my favorite foods. I always make it stove top - never microwave. I LOVE the mushroom popcorn - I'm hooked! |

My friend was floored by this popcorn and asked me what was my secret? He has asked me to fix him a second batch. LOL!!
I told him it's a mushroom popcorn and he was like what? I said not only that but coconut oil and Flavacol season.
After sampling my popcorn. He hasn't been the same. He asked me to order some for him. I gave him the website. He's so tickled.
My children love making popcorn. I refuse to let them think that micowave popcorn is okay. I like to pop the popcorn the old way.
Thank you for the mushroom popcorn and Coconut oil it's the key to a great popcorn! |

This is our second year to use the mushroom popcorn for our Christmas Caramel Corn that we make for all our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They really prefer the mushroom popcorn. It not only looks better but seems to taste better, too. We use an air popper and get very good results by making sure the popper is hot before we put in the kernels. Thanks for a great product. |

We tried the mushroom popcorn, and find that the percentage of mushrooms vs. butterflies is great! I do think I might order the Kernel Katcher to resolve the issue of all the hulls. I don't seem to have anything in my kitchen of many items with holes large enough to let them through, so this should be great, especially after reading the reviews on the bowl.
We also purchased the Tender Pop Hulless popcorn, but have yet to try it out.
I love the personal touch of handwriting, "Enjoy!" on the invoice, as well as the wording on the instruction sheet. Yes, it is sad when those poor little kernels get crushed!
Thanks for great service, and a great product!

I had seen a show on the Food Network, several years ago, that described mushroom popcorn as the best. When I was pregnant, I went through a hugh popcorn phase and then started looking for mushroom popcorn in various local stores, to no avail. Finally, this year as I was searching online, I came across this website and ordered the small bag of the mushroom popcorn. The first couple of times I tried to make it, it was just okay, but I knew that my "popper" was not the right size. So I recently purchased a hand stir popper and that made a huge difference, this is the BEST popcorn ever!!! Thanks for all the tips and the great product!!! |

i got the mushroom popcorn connection thru the 'sweet savory life' website (great site) while looking for kettle corn recipes.
i made the k-corn with Orville's corn... a great success & concurrently i ordered some mushroom corn that was recommended thru the ssl site. it arrived quickly in 4 days (yeah!). it's a little pricey, but, it's special and still cheaper than potato chips.
my first 2 try's following the recipe were awlful!
i pop on a stove in a wok,so, i ajusted the recipe to my technique and the result was GREAT!! the mushroom kernels are a treat and showy. |

I agree as others have said the mushroom popcorn pop's into large puff ball popcorn! I made kettle corn and it was great tasting. Just be careful not to burn it like I did the first time I made it. Also your company was very generous sending me samples of your other popcorn. Very good experience ordering from your company! Will order again in the future.

This is by far the best popcorn I have had. I love how big the kernels puff up. The hulls can be rather large but I find this a minor inconvenience compared to how great the popcorn is. It is perfect for kettle corn. |

I love my mushroom popcorn. I pop it in an air popper, so it doesn't get quite as big as the pictures, but the puffed parts are the size of marbles and delicious (after I spray on some olive oil and sprinkle some white cheddar popcorn seasoning). I work with kids after school and they always want a snack and I want them to eat something healthy. This fits the bill. |

After extolling the virtues of this wonderful popcorn and offering some sage advice, the system informed me of the 500-character limit! That's hardly adequate to describe the appearance, taste & performance of this corn!
The other reviewers have said it all. My advice? If you think you may like it, buy the 5lb bag right off the bat, 'cause you're gonna go through the 2-pounder in no time! |

Big pop, great flavor. I use them to make kettle corn and it's absolutely delicious. I've only had the bag for about a week and it's already half gone. I'll definitely be ordering a bigger supply soon. There are a lot of hulls, but because of the way the corn pops, it's pretty easy to brush them off before you put it in your mouth if it bothers you. So yummy. |

This popcorn is delicious, way better than that stuff you buy in a box, however, I was surprised to see that not all the kernels popped in a mushroom shape as I expected.
[Just Poppin's Tips: Mushroom Popcorn requires higher temps than other popcorn varieties to achieve the mushroom shape. The percentage of mushroom kernels depends on the popping method used.
Microwave = few mushroom kernels (not great for Mushroom Popcorn)
Stovetop = more mushroom kernels (make sure your oil is hot first. >Video)
Hot Air Popper = most mushroom kernels (pre-heat your air popper)
Please follow our instructions for each method as outlined in the Popping Tip Sheet included in every package.] |

I love this popcorn. It puffs up big and fluffy. Great for caramel corn. The only downfall is that when it pops, the shells stay attached to the puffy part. It leaves a lot of little shell pieces in your mouth. |

My husband started making kettle corn at home and my research led me to mushroom popcorn and justpoppin.com. I ordered a 2lb bag and in less than 2 weeks, the bag was nearly empty! To say we love the mushroom popcorn might be an understatement. We adore it! I don't think we'll ever go back to another type of popcorn again. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed in this popcorn, especially if you are making kettlecorn. It's just wonderful! I'd encourage everyone to give it a try! |

Used this to make caramel popcorn as part of my holiday gift packages to friends and co-workers. Using a Whirly-Pop with safflower oil, it popped up beautifully, and worked well with the caramel. I agree with other reviewers that it does have a lot of hulls, but I noticed that a lot fell off during the caramel process and they really weren't a problem with the finished product. |

For years I have wanted to be able to make mushroom popcorn at home but I couldn't find any place that would sell me less than 50lb bags, so I was delighted to find this web site. I ordered 2lbs of mushroom popcorn to try it out. I tried it tonight and wow, they are really big! They claim 70% round and it was at least that. I used peanut oil and Whirley-Pop. I'll be getting 5lb bags now.

The best oil has a high smoke point, and that oil is rice husk oil (see Amazon). Preheat a heavy, tall pan until you can feel the bottom very warm, then add oil and 2-3 kernels. When they pop, wait 15-30 seconds additional time and slowly add the rest of the popcorn. Cover with a ventilated cover to let the steam escape. Remove from high heat when the popping slows down noticeably. Rice husk oil is very neutral in flavor, so you may prefer to add butter. |

I have only made one batch of the corn and used it to try out the "kettle corn" flavor packet. I would not recommend that stuff all it did was burn! Ruined the whole batch and I tried to follow the recipe to the letter. A pan hot enough to pop corn will burn that caramel stuff. Now, I will use the mushroom corn to make Caramel Corn. Should work fine, I hope I get more mushroom shaped kernals than I did the first time. Only about 50% popped true. The corn is fine..the flavoring..no so much.
[Just Poppin's Tips: The "kettle korn flavor packet" was a Redi Glaze Caramel Coating sample packet. Please note that any of our Redi Glaze flavors should only be used if you have a Whirley Style Stove Top Popper or Stir Crazy Popper. Using in a popper without a stirring device WILL result in burned sugar and popcorn.] |
