I like it   I like the popper and it works well enough, but the sorghum smokes like a son of a gun :) It set off the smoke alarm. I just pop the stuff out on the porch and all is well. Thanks! [Note from Just Poppin: Sorghum smokes up nicely in the air popper. It is completely normal and is just part of it's popping process.   PLEASE NOTE: If using the Sorghum Popper to also pop popcorn, use only 1/4 - 1/3 cup of popcorn kernels rather than a 1/2 cup. Using 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels crowds the popping chamber and can cause a blockage or can force out lots of un-popped kernels.

1. This popper comes with a handy On/Off switch making popping much easier. Simply add 1/4 cup of Pop Sorghum grains to the popper, place a large bowl under the spout, and turn the popper on.

2. Please note: It will take about 1 minute before the grains begin to pop. During that time you will see steam coming out of the popper spout. This is completely normal. You may want to position the popper close to your stove so you can turn on the exhaust fan.

3. Towards the end of the popping time, you may need to slightly tilt the popper to coax the little Sorghum Pops into your bowl. Do not tilt too far as you will cause the un-popped grains to fly out of the popper! Remember the popper, spout and clear cover are VERY hot.

4.  When popping slows, turn off popper to avoid burning the popped Sorghum.

5. While any un-popped or half-popped grains may be toasty and crunchy, it is always a good idea to use the Sorghum Sifter before seasoning and eating to make sure there are no hard grains in your bowl.

6. Popped Sorghum is delicious plain, but you may want to jazz it up a bit with our Odell's Real Butter Topping. Using Odell's also provides the perfect base for adding your favorite sprinkle seasonings as it allows the seasonings to stick rather than fall to the bottom of the bowl.
